Teatime in Tennessee

Check out these beautiful teatime tables that I was able to see in Tennessee.  This beautiful luncheon was put on at the Oasis Church in Nashville, Tennessee.  They have so many fabulous events, and the creativity is booming in this church!  Unfortunately I could't attend the ladies tea event, but I got a special behind-the-scenes sneak peak because of my good friend Kara-Lyn who is an active member of Oasis Church.  These ladies sure do know how to put on a great tea event, that's for sure!
The Tiffany Blue Box Teatime Theme... Classic!

Lemon and Lime anyone?

Lavender Victorian... Mmm So pretty!

Rose and Gold London Chic!

French Country.. Blue and White Love!

The Country Western Tea Table.  Check out the denim pocket placemats!

Mason Jars and Red and White Gingham.  Adorable!
Okay, so who's hosting the next tea party?!  I'm ready to design a table!

Day 1 of my Nashville Tennessee Trip

Meet by beautiful friend Kara-Lyn.  She is an Alpha Chi Omega sorority sister I befriended when I was a freshman at Florida State University.  She became my "Lyre" sister and I still look up to Kara-Lyn even today, as she is such a joy to so many people.  I recently visited her in Nashville, Tenessee where I explored the city for the first time.  I had been to Franklin, TN for a horse show when I was about 11 years old, but frankly I didn't remember much.
Kara-Lyn is getting married in October of this year, so when I first arrived, we visited the location... behind the beautiful wrought iron gate, is a farm where Kara-Lyn will be saying her "I Do's".  Its a magical venue, and I'm so excited for her!
We ventured down to Franklin, where we ate at Pucketts.  I definitely recommend the  Mmm super-delicious fried chicken.  It's an old-time grocery store with a rock-n-roll theme inside.  Simply adorable!

Later on, we had to visit downtown Nashville.  Unfortunately I forgot my "Rock Star" apparel as Kara-Lyn described.  I was looking a little Preppy the whole weekend (go figure...)  But, nonetheless it was a grand time at the Wildhorse Saloon!

We all know: Any venue with horses... I LOVE!

Line dancing here felt like we were in a movie.  The singer was incredible... I was like, wait, are we at a concert or are we at a bar?  I'm confused... but wait, I'm in Nashville... EVERYONE sings well!  Just as you would expect, Nashville is full of cowboys and lights... it's a fun city with a whole lot of energy.
More to come soon on the Nashville adventures!

The Preppy Pink Blondie's Lobster BLT

As some of you may know, I love to cook and bake... but- I don't do it enough (mostly this is a time factor).  It takes some inspiration for me to make something delicious, but when something gets in my mind... It will happen.  It's Memorial Day Weekend, so I figured... Why Not?!
I decided to make my very own Lobster BLT since there are no restaurants in my area that carry such a delicious lunch.  (I might start my own business making these now..)

The PPB Lobster BLT:
1 Lobster Tail
2 slices of Maple Bacon
1 Avocado
1 Tomato Slice
A couple leaves of lettuce
1 Potato roll
1 tsp Bernaise Sauce

For lobster marinade:
2 Tsp of Butter
A pinch of minced Garlic
A pinch of italian seasoning
1 tsp lemon juice
1. Prepare the sandwich with the roll, tomato, lettuce.
2. Fix the Avocado like so in a side dish for spreading on the sandwich

3. Cook your bacon like you normally would.  I try and cut as much fat off as I can!
(I usually make the whole package and save the rest for the week).

4. Cook your lobster tail in a tin foil with the butter garlic sauce poured over the tail.  Bake at 450 degrees for approx. 12-15 minutes wrapped in the tin foil.  Check the lobster after about 10 mins in to check the progress.  Sealing the lobster in tin foil will keep it moist and allow the sauce to marinate.

5.  Spread with Bernaise sauce, and top with avocado.  (Don't forget to toast your bun a little for that extra tasty 'Crunch'!)  This was absolutely delicious and a perfect summer lunch!

Vineyard Vines SUV? Yes Please.

Last weekend I spent a Saturday at Iroquois Steeplechase and ran into the Vineyard Vines tailgate... So much fun!  That little pink smiling whale is just too cute to pass up.

An Adventure of Legoland For My Cousin's 12th Birthday

For my cousin's 12th birthday, I decided to take him to Legoland in Winterhaven, FL.  We had a blast!  Take a look at our pictures from the trip a few weeks ago:

The first evening we arrived, we walked around the park and watched the sunset.  Ross couldn't wait to start exploring the park.  We made sure we got to bed early that night so we could be up and adam bright and early for the big day at Legoland:

I told him to ride the pony ride (just for me...)  I think he was hoping it would ride a little faster, but it was too cute I couldn't resist!

The lego buildings were bigger than me!  My goodness it was outrageous!

Even a Pirates of the Carribean lego ship?  Wow...

Don't you just Love the Lego boats?  They are too cute I kind of want one now!

Gotta love that face...

Mr. Lego Photographer.  This was my favorite Lego character at the park. ;-)

Next Stop? Key West!  I haven't been, but I'm planning on visiting there soon, especially after seeing this adorable Key West Lego City ;-)

On the ride home... Totally worth it!
